Music theory. Some of us love it, some of us hate. Is music theory something that get’s your mental gears churning out of excitement? Or do you consider it something an impediment to your creative process?

Regardless, knowing at least a little will go a long way toward your creativity and workflow in the studio.

This includes understanding scales and keys, learning the notes of the piano roll on your DAW, a brief introduction to chords, and of course, rhythm.
